Does anyone know if EDS to CP system is in use today?
I don't know the term "EDS," but Putzmeister is using an optional modem link on some boom pumps. It allows a technician to log onto the pump's control system, via computer and phone line. The technician can read the system, adjust parameters and troubleshoot.
The system is used on some larger booms; 60M and 70M class. There are a few on 30M and 40M class booms.
In Germany, they offer a system that is called "Daisey," I believe. It is a modem link to dispatch. It can calculate hourly and travel rates, yardage and extras and generate invoices on site.
